GRVL Apparel Photo Competition
We are sock-ers for good socks and are excited to share the news that GRVL will be providing a FREE pair of socks to each Tor Divide participant!

We have been using GRVL socks on our rides for a good year now and not only they are extremely comfortable - even on our massive feet - they are also constructed from a blend of Bamboo (80%) and synthetic fabrics allowing your feet to feel fresh throughout a ride, whatever the weather. GRVL.cc socks have a ventilated upper section for additional temperature control, and are responsibly made in Portugal.
We are excited to launch a GRVL photo competition that will run during the event.
The main rules are simple:
Every Tor Divide rider gets a FREE pair of GRVL socks worth £14
Participants collect their GRVL socks at Registration on Saturday morning
Riders wear the socks for the ride and take a picture of their socks at the event or on the ride. Feel free to be creative!
Participants post their GRVL socks photo(s) on their social media with the hashtags: #GRVL #TORDIVIDE #NOTPLASTICSOCKS
Entries are accepted up to 14days after the end of the event (i.e. not later than Sunday 2nd June)
The best photograph wins a GRVL Sweatshirt and free entry to the 2025 Tor Divide event
So leave your spare socks at home - you will not want to use them anyway after trying these socks - pack your camera and get ready for the Tor Divide!

GRVL Photo competition RULES
GRVL Socks photograph competition (the "Competition") is open to Tor Divide participants only.
Entrants into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
There is a limit of 10 entries per participant
The image must be taken during the Tor Divide event.
The image must be shared on social media within 14days from the end of the event (Sunday 19th May 2024) using the Entrant social media account with the hashtags: #GRVL #TORDIVIDE #NOTPLASTICSOCKS
By submitting an entry to the Competition, You grant GRVL and Explore Design Ltd:
Permission for your entry to be published on GRVL & Tor Divide websites including but not limited to grvl.cc, tordivide.com, tordivide.co.uk and you grant GRVL and Explore Design Ltd a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence (with a right to sub-license) to use, republish, edit and/or modify your Competition entry in any/all media (including in electronic format and hard copy) for purposes connected with the Competition and as described in these Terms and Conditions and
The right to use your name and county of residence for the sole purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry and/or as a winner of the Competition.
You also hereby waive all your moral rights in your entry. Notwithstanding the afore-going waiver, in order to use entries as intended and advised in these Terms and Conditions, (i) GRVL & Explore Design Ltd may need to modify entries, including but not limited to resizing, cropping or colour adjustment as necessary, provided that GRVL & Explore Design Ltd shall endeavour in undertaking such modifications to maintain the integrity of your entry as originally created; and (ii) GRVL & Explore Design Ltd shall provide a picture credit for all entries.
You own the copyright to your Competition entry as its author. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trade marks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. If GRVL & Explore Design Ltd has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions, then GRVL & Explore Design Ltd may not consider it and may disqualify it.
If selected as Winner, you will be able to provide the original image (RAW or high quality JPEG) is to be shared with GRVL & Explore Design Ltd as proof of ownership of the original image.
Entrants confirm that each individual whose image is featured in the Competition entry has given consent for the use of his/her image in connection with this Competition and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Where an individual whose image is featured in a Competition entry is aged less than 18 years the entrant confirms that the parent or guardian of that individual has given the relevant consent.
GRVL (the "Judges") will choose one winning entry from all the valid Competition entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (the "Winner").
When choosing the winner, the Judges will be looking for the most well composed, artistic and original image that evokes the best interpretation of the theme.
The Winner for 2024 will win a GRVL Hoodie and an entry to the 2025 edition of the Tor Divide.
The Prize does not include anything other than the elements stated above.
The Winner will be notified by GRVL & Explore Design Ltd by email within 28 days of being selected as the Winner and given details of how to claim their prize. If the Winner does not respond to GRVL & Explore Design Ltd within 21 days of being notified by GRVL & Explore Design Ltd of their win, then the Prize will be forfeited and the Judges shall be entitled to select another winner (and that winner will have to respond to the phone call or email from GRVL & Explore Design Ltd within 21 days or else they will also forfeit the Prize). If a winner rejects the Prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Judges shall be entitled to select another winner using the process referred to above.
The prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred by you and cannot be redeemed by you for cash or any other prize.
Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
GRVL & Explore Design Ltd shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at Privacy Policy — TOR DIVIDE, and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Competition entry, and for the purposes outlined in these terms and conditions.
The Promoter of the Competition is Explore Design Ltd. Any complaints regarding the Competition should be sent to us using this form.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of GRVL & Explore Design Ltd for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.
GRVL & Explore Design Ltdaccepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting any prize. GRVL & Explore Design Ltdfurther disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.
GRVL & Explore Design Ltd reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of GRVL & Explore Design Ltdin all matters relating to the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. GRVL & Explore Design Ltdreserves the right to discount votes if it suspects fraudulent bulk voting or multiple voting is taking or has taken place to inappropriately influence or manipulate the voting procedures.
GRVL & Explore Design Ltdshall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
