Self-supported challenge: solo or pair

The Tor Divide is a self-supported challenge at heart, but participants are encouraged to meet up, socialise and help each other before/during/after the event. There will be drinks and food waiting for you at the finish, where we look forward to hearing stories from the ride!

Riders aiming to be listed as Finishers need to complete the event within the self-supported rules, be adept at navigation, technically skilled, able to deal with mechanical problems, and fit enough to complete the course in under 32-hours.

Are you ready to put yourself the test, and have a really good time?

Three routes will be provided for you to chose from, updated for 2025:

  • The Divide (250km, 5000m+, includes MTB technical sections)

  • The Millstone (150km, 3000m+, includes MTB technical sections)

  • Peak Gravel (approximately 200km & 4000m+)

You must ride the chosen route with no 3rd party support, private lodgings nor private resupply. All food, drink and equipment must be carried with you or acquired at commercially available services.

While you do not have to carry a full bikepacking kit - although it is recommended - you must carry the mandatory minimum kit listed in the event Rules and Manual (i.e. a shelter, a sleeping bag, a waterproof jacket).

New for 2025: PAIR category

Eager to take up the challenge but would rather share the adventure with a friend?
Enter with a mate!
Each rider signs up separately, and tells us in the comment section at check-out the name of the other person in the pair. We'll do the rest.

Note: you must finish the ride in the same category as you started to qualify as Finisher (e.g. if starting as a pair, both riders need to complete the route to qualify as Finishers).

Event details

Event campsite opens on Friday evening (6pm).

Event starts on 17th May 2025:

  • Registration between 7:00am - 8:00am

  • Briefing at 8:00am

  • Group start at 8:30am. (TBC)

Event ends on 18th May at 6:00pm.

NOTE: you will receive a confirmation email once the purchase has gone through. We had issue with ApplePay in the past, if you don't receive the email then the transaction hasn't gone through! Please try again or try using a different payment method.
