Schwalbe & Zolla Photo Competition

We are excited to add another fantastic opportunity for Tor Divide participants, courtesy of our Sponsors Schwalbe & Zolla. During the event we will be running a second Photo Competition open to all Tor Divide participant!

We love photography and taking photos from our rides. Whether is to capture the beauty of the landscape, some unique light/weather conditions, a cafe stop or even a mechanical disaster! Photos are a great way to tell a story from a ride and we cannot wait to see yours.

The main rules of the Schwalbe & Zolla photo competition are the following:

  • The competition is open to Tor Divide participants only.

  • Photos submitted must be taken during the event, including the lead up to it and the Finish.

  • There is no specific theme so feel free to be creative! We expect to see photos capturing the beauty of the route, inspiring photos of riders along the trails, exhilarating moments, tough moments and everything in between.

  • Participants send their photo(s) via email. Posting them on social media usign the hashtag #TORDIVIDE is not required (although appreciated!).
    You might have to use free services like WeTransfer or Dropbox to share large files with us via a link.

  • Entries are accepted up to 14days after the end of the event (i.e. not later than Sunday 2nd June).

  • The best photograph wins a pair of Schwalbe G-One Overland tyres, a 30% discount on a Zolla wheelset and a free entry to the 2025 Tor Divide event.


If you needed an excuse to stop along the route, we think this is a pretty good one!

Schwalbe & Zolla Photo competition RULES

  1. Schwalbe & Zolla photo competition (the "Competition") is open to Tor Divide participants only and is run by Schwalbe, Zolla and Explore Design Ltd (the “Organisers”).

  2. Entrants into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

  3. There is a limit of 10 images per participant.

  4. The image(s) must be taken during the Tor Divide event.

  5. The image(s) must be sent to us via email within 14days from the end of the event (Sunday 19th May 2024).

  6. By submitting an entry to the Competition, You grant the Organisers:

    • Permission for your entry to be published on the Organisers websites including but not limited to tordivide.com, tordivide.co.uk and you grant the Organisers a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence (with a right to sub-license) to use, republish, edit and/or modify your Competition entry in any/all media (including in electronic format and hard copy) for purposes connected with the Competition and as described in these Terms and Conditions and

    • The right to use your name and county of residence for the sole purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry and/or as a winner of the Competition.

    • You also hereby waive all your moral rights in your entry. Notwithstanding the afore-going waiver, in order to use entries as intended and advised in these Terms and Conditions, (i) the Organisers may need to modify entries, including but not limited to resizing, cropping or colour adjustment as necessary, provided that the Organisers shall endeavour in undertaking such modifications to maintain the integrity of your entry as originally created; and (ii) the Organisers shall provide a picture credit for all entries.

    • You own the copyright to your Competition entry as its author. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trade marks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. If the Organisers has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions, then the Organisers may not consider it and may disqualify it.

    • If selected as Winner, you will be able to provide the original image (RAW or high quality JPEG) is to be shared with the Organisers as proof of ownership of the original image.

  7. Entrants confirm that each individual whose image is featured in the Competition entry has given consent for the use of his/her image in connection with this Competition and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Where an individual whose image is featured in a Competition entry is aged less than 18 years the entrant confirms that the parent or guardian of that individual has given the relevant consent.

  8. Schwalbe & Zolla (the "Judges") will choose one winning entry from all the valid Competition entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions (the "Winner").

  9. When choosing the winner, the Judges will be looking for the most well composed, artistic and original image that evokes the best interpretation of the theme.

  10. The Winner for 2024 will win a pair of Schwalbe Overland tyres 700x40mm (should the 40-622 tyre size not be available at the time, the Organisers reserve the right to replace them with an alternative size subject to stock), a 30% discount on the purchase of a Zolla wheelset via the Zolla website, and an entry to the 2025 edition of the Tor Divide.

  11. The Prize does not include anything other than the elements stated above.

  12. The Winner will be notified by the Organisers by email within 28 days of being selected as the Winner and given details of how to claim their prize. If the Winner does not respond to the Organisers within 21 days of being notified by the Organisers of their win, then the Prize will be forfeited and the Judges shall be entitled to select another winner (and that winner will have to respond to the phone call or email from the Organisers within 21 days or else they will also forfeit the Prize). If a winner rejects the Prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these terms, then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Judges shall be entitled to select another winner using the process referred to above.

  13. The prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred by you and cannot be redeemed by you for cash or any other prize.

  14. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

  15. the Organisers shall use and take care of any personal information you supply to it as described in its privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at Privacy Policy — TOR DIVIDE, and in accordance with data protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you agree to the collection, retention, usage and distribution of your personal information in order to process and contact you about your Competition entry, and for the purposes outlined in these terms and conditions.

  16. The Promoter of the Competition is Explore Design Ltd. Any complaints regarding the Competition should be sent to us using this form.

  17. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude the liability of the Organisers for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence.

  18. the Organisers accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting any prize. the Organisers further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to you or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition.

  19. the Organisers reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of the Organisers in all matters relating to the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. the Organisers reserves the right to discount votes if it suspects fraudulent bulk voting or multiple voting is taking or has taken place to inappropriately influence or manipulate the voting procedures.

  20. the Organisers shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

  21. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and entrants to the Competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
